FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • We give bags of art supplies to anyone working with children in need, who wouldn’t normally have access to these supplies.

If you only need a few bags, you can stop by our location during any of our open hours. If you need 10 or more bags, we ask that you get in touch with us at least 2 weeks before your trip. Bags can be shipped anywhere in the United States.

  • We do not limit the number of bags we give out; however the larger the number of bags needed, the more time we would need to be able to fill your request.

  • We always need volunteers to paint and fill the bags - it is a fun way to volunteer by yourself or with friends and family. You can help over a lunch hour by coming during open hours OR you can set a special time for your group to volunteer - even having a potluck or dessert party at AFN.

You can also shop in the Art for the Nations boutique. Everything we sell is donated to the store and 100% of the proceeds go directly toward purchasing art supplies.

  • We do not ship bags overseas due to the expense and unreliability of international shipping. In many countries a custom fee is charged to the person collecting the package which would be unaffordable to many people.

  • Nothing, we are happy to give them to any mission or service team. Because of our blessings, we want to bless children around the world by giving them a chance to use art supplies. Donations are accepted, but not expected when you take bags. We are a nonprofit and $35 pays for one full bag.

  • No problem, the projects are easy enough to teach by example and we have the instructions in many languages.

  • Each bag contains enough for 50 children to complete 4 projects  (yes, that is 200 projects per bag!). Each bag weighs roughly 7 pounds and must be fit into checked luggage as there are scissors and glue.

  • You really can make a bag look beautiful - even young children paint them, but if you'd rather not, there are many other ways to help.

  • Our space has a maximum occupancy of 16 persons while painting, and unfortunately, we are not equipped to run off-site experiences.
